Tracking horned guan, resplendent quetzal, jaguar, and tapir

The overall aim of this project is to know the status of the populations species priority for conservation at El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, at Chiapas, México.

Volunteers could join at any time along the year with guardparks and researches whom at regular basis collect data from the field that will be used for biological monitoring .

The data are collected in two places: in the nucleus zone named El Triunfo camp and at coffe farm.

  Coffe, birds, honey y and food security

Campesinos Ecológicos de la Sierra Madre de Chiapas (CESMACH is Spanish for Ecological Farmers from Chiapas Sierra) is a inspiring cooperative of organic coffe farmers. Launched on 1994, currently has more that 400 members in 12 communities.

Recently its start a food security project with the goal of diversify its production and improve the quality of life of the members' families and the overall communities. For that reason provides technical assistance and materials to start horticulture and backyards farms. Volunteers could participate on activities of coffe farming, horticulture as well the backyard farms.

  Teach English and fund raising to NGO´s



This is a project of teaching English for a specific purpose. The goal is to develop the english comunication skills for staff of five non govermental organizations in order to enable them to obtain the resources needed to increase their impact on local development and conservation in Chiapas.
